Straw Mouth

Southwestern Desert Mesquite Wood; Broom Bristles

16"W  x  20"H  x  3"DP

This piece surprised me in it development, with red and blue colored forehead dots and radial broom hair, and mouth stuffed full of same. In a way, it strikes me as more commercial in nature, although I don't know why I say that. I picked up the wood piece one day at the dump, as it looked like it had potential. It is still one of my favorites.
